Victoria’s Betfred tennis team has bet $100,000 on its players to beat the odds and claim a top-four spot in the Pemula International Championship next month.
The Betfred players are set to play on the first day of the PEMULA International, which will run from August 21 to 28, and have already beaten the odds of $10,000.
The $100 million is a record, Betfred said in a statement.
The tournament is a chance to play a top three in the world at a minimum.
It’s a tournament that will give the players a good opportunity to earn a lot of money, it says.
This will help them get their professional careers back on track.
“Our goal is to have an outstanding tournament, one that will help our players reach their potential,” Betfred’s chairman and CEO, Mark Pritchard, said.
“We are delighted that the players of Betfred are getting the chance to go head-to-head against some of the best players in the sport.”
The players, known as “Pemulas”, will play four matches in five days in a four-round PEMBA event on August 21-28.
They will compete against four other teams, including a top eight.
Betfred is hoping the players will be able to beat a top 10 ranking in the event.
“It’s an incredible honour to be competing in this tournament and we know it’s a great opportunity for our players to get to play for our country,” Pritcher said.
The players will have to play in two games in a single day, and will be guaranteed to win at least one of them.
