The Irish Travellers Association has written to the Derry City Council urging them to allow the use of ping pong in the city.
The organisation, which has been campaigning for the right to use ping pongs in Drogheda, received a letter from the City Council yesterday.
The letter, addressed to Mayor of Droghes and Kerry Catherine McBride, asks that the use be allowed as long as it is for educational purposes.
In response, the association has written on Facebook:The Association has said it is working to find the best venue for the use.
A spokesperson for the Droghe City Council said it has no comment.
