Two weeks after his death, Kristina Pang is still trying to figure out what happened.
Pang’s son, 19-year-old Jovan, was killed on July 2 in a collision with a truck that slammed into a tree.
He had been with his grandparents and his mother was out on the golf course, playing pingpongs.
She heard the truck go by, but didn’t see it hit the tree.
She did, however, hear the truck come to a stop, and then the engine of the truck.
She says she then turned and saw Jovan lying face down on the ground, dead.
Pang said the crash was a terrible accident, but she doesn’t want anyone to think her son was killed.
She said Jovan had been driving the truck in the driveway and was not at the wheel.
Jovan’s family has filed a lawsuit against the owner of the golf cart, which the family believes was operating at the time of the crash.
Panthers general manager Dale Tallon, who was on vacation when the accident happened, said the team will hold a news conference on Wednesday.
